On September 25th, 2016, hundreds of employers, healthcare providers and benefit vendors convened in Washington, DC for the 8th Annual Employer Healthcare and Benefits Congress. This event was broadly attended by employers, HR professionals, global travel experts and healthcare and wellness providers from all of the world, to discuss the the future of global healthcare and all that is involved. Many of the breakout session speakers broached the topic of employee welfare, which includes overall wellness to improve productivity, morale, physical, mental and emotional health and wellness. As retention of quality employees becomes more challenging, having benefits that cater to their lives and those of their families is at the forefront of C-Suite initiatives.
